The Template:Convert/LoffAonDbSoff formats a conversion with the amount displayed as non-wikilinked, with unit symbol (if any, else full unit name), and the result in parentheses "( )" to be calculated by invoking the output unit {Convert/{3}|...} or {Convert/{o}|...}, which uses the result formatter Template:Convert/LoffAonSoff to show the non-linked, unit symbol (abbreviated unit name).

This template also sets the precision value of the input amount, unless either the rounding parameter is set ("|0" or "|-2" or such) or the sigfig=3 parameter is set (internal name {{{s}}} ). For many uses of {Convert}, the precision will be calculated here, using Template:Precision with the input amount.
